We all know that we need to continue spiraling the concepts we have taught so the kiddos don’t forget this material. This math spiral review does exactly that. Each day students answer 8 math questions on various math topics to strengthen their understanding and ensure students retain the information they’ve previously learned, especially important as we scaffold to more complex topics.
For the September packet, 2nd grade standards are spiraled to refresh those brains on the material they learned last year. Click here to check out the September Spiral!
There is also an entire year bundle of spirals for you to use each month of the school year. These packets cover all third grade standards! Click here to check out the bundle!
Topics covered in the September packet are as follows:
*Fractions (drawing and identifying halves, thirds, and fourths)
*Time to the nearest 5 minutes
*Geometry including partitioning and drawing shapes
*Word Problems, addition and subtraction
*Measurement (feet, inches, yards, cm, ounces, and pounds)
*Place value, including skip counting, identifying place value, and comparing numbers.
*Counting coins
Also included is a data tracking page that you may want to print at the end of your students’ packets. After completing each day’s spiral, students can shade in the tracking sheet to help see areas of strength and weakness.
Happy Teaching!
