How about a Back-to-School Escape Room? This is a fun way to start the school year while building teamwork with your students.
Classroom Escape Rooms are SO. MUCH. FUN, and when we can use it digitally, there is not much to set up! This escape room is perfect to build teamwork, start the discussion about the beginning of the year rules and expectations, as well as throwing in a bit of math and reading!
There are a few clues to print for each group or pair of students (totally up to you how you decide to run this in your classroom). You will then share the Google Form Digital Lockbox that is included.
In order for students to break INTO the school year, students need to solve the clues and correctly place them in the Google Form. This digital lockbox can be shared with students in Google Classroom or with the link provided in your download. I would suggest students have one device per group or one per pair of students to make this much easier to manage.
The clues are a mix of math word problems, rhyme riddles, a back-to-school crossword puzzle, as well as a couple of simple research-based tasks.
Here are some of the reasons I am using Google Classroom/Digital Resources this year:
★I’m going paperless.
★Students work directly in the file
★Preserve ideas and references
★Improve students writing
★Integrates technology
★High engagement
★Because I am getting Chromebooks for my entire class!!!
★Students can access anywhere
★Kids can use these materials on iPads, Chromebooks, and other devices

Hope your kiddos enjoy!
